The tradition of Halloween around the world


The feast of Halloween refers to the day of All Saints and simultaneously to Memorial Day. Usually Halloween is more widespread in countries of Anglo-Saxon, Spanish-speaking countries do not celebrate this festival as the Day of the Dead, now in the Middle East this period is marked by tradition and popular belief.

In Spain, as in Brazil, is celebrated the day of All Saints and All Souls, the date provided for that event is the 1st and 2nd of November, the last people pay homage to the dead carrying flowers to the tombs.

Ireland is considered the "birthplace" of the tradition of Halloween, people celebrate by building bonfires in the case, the adults, because children walk the streets exclaiming the famous "tricks or treats", which in Portuguese means "trick or treating".

In the Mexican territory is commemorated on the 1st day of November angels, also called "Day of the Innocents", which is celebrated in the memory of children who died before being baptized. The Day of the Dead (El Dia de los Muertos) is celebrated on November 2 and is widespread in the country, people celebrate the day leading to the tombs all that the deceased liked, the day before the event meets relatives and friends to eat and drink and wait to get the dead at dawn.

In that period is common production and distribution of skulls sweet (chocolate, marzipan and sugar).

Is held annually in Thailand Phi Ta Khon party, the day is celebrated with parades and music together take the image of Buddha, they said the Vietnamese Ghosts and spirits circulate among men.
